Emerging blinking into the sun from a long winter in the studio recording their next flop, The Strypes are getting back in the saddle the best way they know how. With a month long tour taking them to 20 of the country’s greatest small and beautifully formed music venues to road test the new songs and flog the old ones to death. Bass Player Pete O'Hanlon said - "We feel this type of tour suits us the best. The idea of playing up close to crowds where you can see the whites of their eyes is thrilling. Where better than Ireland to start a year of touring?" Drummer Evan Walsh said -.... nothing as he was out when we rang. From Portrush to Kilorglin and Mullingar to Drumlish, The Strypes “Roadtest” Tour will come to a small to medium sized town near you this month. The Strypes agent Joe Clarke said “This is a dream tour to book out, the band get to play these great intimate venues and the audience get to see the band in their natural habitat - small, sweaty and rocking gigs!” Kicking off on Thursday 26th February in Monaghan and wrapping up on Sunday 29th March in Kilorglin this is a unique chance to see the band tipped by everyone from Paul Weller to Dave Grohl up close and personal.
