Grainne Cotter is a Pop-Jazz alternative artist to look out for this year as she hits the Irish and UK circuit with her new Music Single and Video “Shadows”.
Gráinne stems from a background of a variety of genres with musical experience a plenty. She is a Clare native, fiddle player and professional singer-songwriter who accredits her powerful lyrics to her Parisian adventures, travel and life experience.
Having derived from an Irish music Family she was very surprised to discover a love of Jazz and song composition in University, and was given the opportunity to study in Berklee College Boston for a summer. Having returned to Ireland from a summer in Paris, Gráinne moved to the culture hub of Galway and set up a talented group who then assisted her in her ambition of creating her first album of work “Tides”, which was released last year.
Following her release of her Album TIDES several of her tracks have been added to the RTÉ 1 recommended playlist and she has had the immense pleasure of performing at festivals such as Féile na Bealtaine, Electric Picnic and, most recently, The Other Voices.
She looks forward to the release of her new single and video “Shadows” which will be filmed in the stunning scenery of Connemara.
