Following TEDx CorkSalon's CorkLovesMusic event last September, #CorkLovesMusic, in association with First Music Contact (FMC), presents a standalone series of FREE Music Industry Clinics, as well as talk and performance events, beginning on Wednesday February 22nd, and taking place throughout the year.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, UCC Students' Union presents one-on-one music clinics with Angela Dorgan, CEO of First Music Contact (Hard Working Class Heroes, Music in Ireland). Open to the public, strictly limited to six places, application by email: email@example.com
That same evening, Coughlans' of Douglas Street will host talks and performances from musicians and industry professionals, in an event open to the public for free. You can reserve a place at the free-to-attend panel on this very page. Early booking for this event is advised.
This unique collaboration is designed to offer career advice from FMC, inspiration and network opportunities through the talks and panels, as well as the opportunity to discover the wealth of talent in Cork’s Music scene on a regular basis.
#CorkLovesMusic is a newly-formed co-operative of music and media professionals, formed after TEDx CorkSalon's CorkLovesMusic event in September 2016. Working in collaboration with bodies like First Music Contact and Coughlan's, the aim is to open up new conversations in and around Cork's resurgent music community.
